Former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is selling her Scottsdale, AZ, home.
The outspoken politician purchased the Mediterranean-influenced residence in 2011 for nearly $1.7 million, did some remodeling, and is now selling it for $2.5 million.
That's quite a jump, but the price might be worth it. Listing agent Richard Barker told AZCentral: "For what they paid for it and what they've put into it, in my opinion, it's priced right."
What the family put into it includes a major outdoor overhaul. The 4.9-acre estate now has equestrian areas, a pool, a putting green and a lighted sports court.
Inside, the home has a semi-open floor plan with six bedrooms and 6.5 baths. There's a media room with tiered seating, and a wine cellar. The master suite offers a private veranda as well as a huge master bath with a soaking tub that dominates the space.
Oh, and there's plenty of room to take care of household business. The kitchen comes with side-by-side double refrigerators and two ovens -- enough to cook for all your constituents. Right off the kitchen is a laundry room that's bigger than most bedrooms. No dirty laundry to see here!
