Seeking a rockin' new home? Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan put his shockingly traditional East Coast -- style home in Beverly Hills, CA, on the market for a sweet $4.95 million a few months ago.
No buyer has stepped up to the mic as of yet, so you can still buy your own piece of rock star history. Listing agent Joe Babajian is ready to take your requests (or preferably, offers).
Corgan co-founded The Smashing Pumpkins in 1988, but it wasn't until the band's sophomore album, "Siamese Dream," that the group achieved major recognition with hits including "Cherub Rock" and "Disarm." After a nearly six-year hiatus, the band reformed in 2006 after Corgan took out full-page newspaper ads expressing his desire to reunite.
While Corgan himself tends toward heavy riffs, his home doesn't. For instance, the kitchen is understated and elegant with marble countertops, a butcher block island, and picture windows overlooking the wooded yard.
The dark-floored dining room -- with a vaulted ceiling that's perfect for an elegant chandelier -- opens directly onto the back brick patio with fireplace. Beyond, the landscaped yard features a pool, small creek, tree swing, and detached guesthouse.
