After struggling to sell for more than two years, NHL defenseman Sheldon Souray's Spanish hacienda in Malibu is now pending sale for $3.5 million.
Over his 18-year career in the National Hockey League, the rugged defender played for the New Jersey Devils, Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars, and the Anaheim Ducks. He announced his retirement this summer.
Souray's four-bedroom, 4,817-square-foot home was featured on " Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles" during its first round on the market.
The new buyers will enjoy "a true Spanish-style warm and spacious home," says listing agent Madison Hildebrand of The Malibu Life. The "amazing" glaze tile-floored kitchen offers plenty of space for aspiring chefs, and the open floor plan makes entertaining easy.
Its best feature? The infinity pool that looks over the trees and ocean below -- and the property comes with deeded beach rights.
