Fans of "Iron Chef America" may wonder about the dwelling of the show's mysterious Chairman, played by actor and martial artist Mark Dacascos. Is there a competition over a " secret ingredient" at breakfast?
It turns out, off camera, there's no hunger for drama. The star's home in Westlake Village, CA, is on the market for $1.6 million, and it's as traditional -- and charming -- as it gets. We've got the dish.
The 4,523-square-foot home in a gated community includes vaulted ceilings, a wet bar, three gas fireplaces, a formal living room, and a formal dining room. The backyard offers "extreme privacy," along with an oversize deck and a detached studio, according to the listing with broker Ryan Shimp of Engel & Volkers.
The kitchen is apparently worthy of "Iron Chef." There's a dining nook, granite countertops, a walk-in pantry, and stainless-steel appliances.
We're not sure what the Hawaiian native's next move is, but the 51-year-old did give one possible scenario in an interview with HILuxury: "I'd like to go back to Europe, then a little bit in Asia and then come back to Hawai'i. I think that's the perfect plan."
