SAVANNAH, Ga. —
Daniel Studdard rushed for two scores and Derek Williams kicked three field goals to help Savannah State to a 23-7 victory against Concordia-Selma on Saturday.Studdard rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries, and Justin Babb ran for 164 more on 19 rushes for the Tigers (4-5).
Savannah State outgained the Hornets (5-5) 358-173 and capitalized on three interceptions.
Williams kicked field goals of 27 and 26 yards to give the Tigers a 6-0 halftime lead, but Concordia took the lead midway through the third quarter after A.J. Ward scored from 7 yards out.
Williams put the Tigers back on top 9-7 with a 24-yard field goal to start the fourth quarter, and Studdard's pair of 3-yard rushing touchdowns sealed the game.
Savannah State intercepted two passes in the final five minutes.
