Former Hillary Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson unleashed Wednesday on MSNBC's Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, accusing them of taking over their network with "antics" after they accused him of being a traitor to Democrats.
Olbermann and Matthews earlier this week criticized Wolfson for joining FOX News as a political analyst.
"You know I am not going to take any lectures on how to be a good Democrat from two people who have spent the last two years relentlessly attacking Bill and Hillary Clinton every day," Wolfson said.
Asked to whom he was referring, Wolfson said Olbermann and Matthews.
"I think it is unfortunate (that) a news organization with a great tradition like NBC has been taken over by those kind of antics," he said.
The rebuttal comes after Matthews called Wolfson a "toy soldier."
"FOX News seems to enjoy it," Matthews said. "It's no accident, for example, that they hired Howard Wolfson. They use him as some sort of little toy soldier waiting on the shelf."
Olbermann chimed in that "Tokyo Rose was the thought the came to my mind," a reference to Japanese women who spread propaganda to American soldiers during World War II.
