A Dallas lawyer who paid relocation expenses to John Edwards' mistress told the Dallas Morning News that he will attend the Democratic Convention in Denver next week.
Fred Baron is one of the Democratic Party's strongest fund-raisers, and he has spent billions trying to help rebuild the Texas Democratic Party. Earlier this month he said that he was helping Barack Obama.
But he's been heavily criticized ever since he revealed that he personally paid housing expenses of Rielle Hunter and Andrew Young, the Edwards campaign aide who has said he fathered Hunter's child.
Edwards admitted two weeks ago that he had an affair with Hunter in 2006, but he denied rumors that the child is his. He is not expected to attend the convention.
