No. 5, 1964 DNC Bobby Kennedy's Tribute to John
Welcome to the Top 11 Conventions in U.S. political history. This section is the culmination of two months of research and interviews, and we hope you come back to count down the most memorable conventions each weekday until No. 1 is revealed on Aug. 25, the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Tuesday's memorable convention is No. 5 on the list, the 1964 DNC in Atlantic City, N.J.
Less than a year after his brother, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated, Robert F. Kennedy presented a video tribute that prompted attendees to give the younger Kennedy a moving, 22-minute ovation.
