Gov. Tim Pawlenty will travel to Germany this weekend to attend a global security conference with Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
Minnesota's GOP governor says he's joining a U.S. delegation to the annual summit of the world's top security officials in Munich. The delegation also includes Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.
Pawlenty, who heads the National Governors Association, says security issues affect states as well as the nation as a whole. Pawlenty is also the national co-chairman of McCain's presidential campaign.
Pawlenty goes to Washington on Thursday for meetings about this summer's Republican National Convention in St. Paul, before crossing the Atlantic on Thursday evening.
