Former Bush official Rosario Marin bashes Trump's upcoming immigration speech

Rosario Marin says she endorsed Clinton because she's against all Trump stands for.

In an exclusive statement to Fox News Latino, the highest ranking Latina Republican to endorse Hillary Clinton took a preemptive shot at Republican Donald Trump's highly-anticipated immigration speech in Arizona Wednesday evening.

"Donald Trump's bid for the White House has sadly tainted our party's banner with his hateful and divisive rhetoric,” Mexican-American Rosario Marin, United States Treasurer under George W. Bush, told FNL. “His immigration speech tonight in Arizona will only reinforce my decision to distance myself from his candidacy, as he'll continue to paint all immigrants as criminals, double down on his promise to deport millions of people and tear their families apart."

Trump was expected to head to Mexico City to meet with Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto ahead of his immigration speech.

"(Trump) may try to disguise his bigotry with selective words such as "humane" or " fair," but nothing can erase the fact that he's spent his entire campaign demeaning Latinos and specifically Mexicans," she added.

Marin, who was born in Mexico but cast her first vote as a U.S. citizen in 1984 for Ronald Reagan in his re-election bid, endorsed Clinton earlier this month.
