Asked by Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press" about the veracity of some of his claims, Donald Trump doubled-down Sunday by claiming he had it on good authority that President Obama plans to admit "200,000-250,000" Syrian refugees.
"In the Democrat debate I think they were talking about 65,000," Trump said in reference to Democratic Party plans for admission of Syrian refugees. "I have it upon a certain amount of knowledge — I'm very friendly with people on both sides — that Obama's plan is 200,000-250,000."
"So [Obama] said 10,000, the debate said 65,000, already before we even start, and I think what [Obama] really has in mind is 200,000 people and maybe even more than that coming into our country," Trump said.
