In the midst of Ben Carson and his wife's trip to Jordan this weekend, the Republican presidential candidate outlined the sketches of a policy on Syrian refugees, as well as his thoughts on what the U.S.'s path ahead in the region should be.

"Bringing 25K refugees to U.S. doesn't solve this crisis. Jordan already houses 1.4M refugees. We must do more. They need & deserve our help," Carson tweeted Saturday.

"Amman, Jordan today — I saw pain on the faces of mothers & children," he added.
