Recent filingsÂ with the Federal Election Commissionindicate the Republican National Committee (RNC) raised nearly doublethe Democratic National CommitteeÂ (DNC) in terms offundraising in October.
The RNCÂ took inÂ approximately $8.7 million comparedto the DNC’s $4.5 million.
The report shows the DNC spent well over what it brought in lastmonth, blowing throughÂ $5.25 million. Democrats have atotal ofÂ $4,703,185 cash on hand but $6.9 million indebt.
In contrast, Republicans have around $20 million on hand, andjustÂ $1.8 million in debt.
Republicans receivedÂ a record $89 million andDemocrats receivedÂ $51.2 million in contributions thisyear.
