On Sunday, Donald Trump doubled down on comments he made this weekend about seeing thousands of people cheering the day the World Trade Center came down on Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists hijacked two planes and slammed them into the two towers.
"This Week" host George Stephanopoulos showed a clip of Trump at a campaign event Saturday telling the audience at that he was in Jersey City, N.J., when the attack happened and that he saw "thousands and thousands of people cheering."
Stephanopoulos said the police claim it never happened and rumors about it have been circulating on the Internet for some time.
"Did you misspeak yesterday?" he asked Trump.
