Moving fast to prevent the type of terror murder Syrian-refugees bloodied Paris with, a key senator Monday moved to kill funds for President Obama's controversial and potentially dangerous plan to bring 85,000-100,000 refugees to the United States.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, said in a letter to Senate appropriators that funding the program would amount to an invitation to foreign-born terrorists unleashing their venom on Americans.

"The barbaric attacks in Paris — an assault on civilization itself — add immense new urgency," the Alabama Republican wrote.

In demanding hearings on the president's plan, he also said that the cost to resettle the refugees could soar past $55 billion and they would be allowed to receive housing, welfare and food stamps.
