Harvard University evacuated four buildings on campus after receiving a bomb threat Monday.

Around 12:30 p.m. EST, Harvard received an emailed bomb threat regarding the Science Building and three residence halls, and immediately locked down those facilities, according to a statement by the university.

Authorities concluded at 2:00 EST that the threat was unsubstantiated and that Harvard would continue to work with federal and local law enforcement to determine the source of the threat.

Campus officials are issuing updates on Twitter, and entry to Harvard Yard was being restricted.
