The fourth Republican presidential primary debate drew a record audience for Fox Business, which hosted the event.
A total 13.5 million viewers watched the Fox Business debate on Tuesday, according to CNN, citing preliminary overnight Nielsen data. The number is just short of the 14 million viewers who watched the debate in October, which was hosted by CNBC, the main rival of Fox Business.
Fox Business's debate is a far cry from the 24 million who watched the first debate in August hosted by its sister network, Fox News, but it is a ratings record for the eight-year-old Fox Business and it is still millions more than those who watched the GOP primary debates heading into the 2012 election.
The ratings for the Fox Business debate do not take into account viewers who live-streamed the event online.Read more on WashingtonExaminer.com
