Third-quarter fundraising figures came in October 15, and they tell an interesting story. Chris Christie, despite his ties to New York power centers, isn't bringing in the cash. John Kasich, despite winning the hearts of the maistream media, hasn't brought in that many donors. And Donald Trump, despite not soliciting donations, is hauling in millions.
The totals tell us about a candidate's ability to fight in the 15 weeks until the caucuses, and they also tell other potential donors who's a lost cause and who has a shot.
