CNN's Jake Tapper continued to press Jeb Bush this morning about Trump's comments on President George W. Bush and the 9/11 attacks, eliciting a perhaps odd response.

Tapper asked, "To play devil's advocate, do you think it's possible that your loyalty to your brother, while very admirable on a personal level, might be in some ways a political or policy liability blinding you to mistakes he made?"

"Next week Trump will probably say that FDR was around when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor," Bush responded.

He didn't explain the remark much further, continuing, "It's what you do after that matters. That's the sign of leadership. it's not the — does anybody actually blame my brother for the attacks on 9/11? If they do, they're marginalizing our society."
