Iran has received 13 tons of gold from South Africa that had been blocked by international sanctions after officials took the matter to negotiators at the nuclear talks in Vienna, the head of Iran's central bank told state media Wednesday.

"The last parcel of that gold reserve, weighing four tons arrived in Iran and was delivered to the safe of the [Central Bank of Iran] last night," CBI Gov. Volilollah Seif told the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

A ton of gold is worth about $34.2 million at current prices.
