Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is the first potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate to open an office in Iowa.
Fox News confirms that Walker’s Our American Revival political group plans to open an office, a development first reported by The Des Moines Register
The move follows Walker’s well-received performance at last month’s conservative-base Freedom Summit in Iowa and a recent poll showing him leading other GOP hopefuls in the first-in-the-nation caucus state.
The strip mall storefront in suburban Des Moines has previously served as office space for such GOP candidates as Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain.
