The U.S. Navy has created a drone that looks like a shark.

The unmanned underwater vehicle, or UUV, is a robot that can mimic the movements of a real shark and, hopefully, eventually help in underwater surveillance.

“GhostSwimmer will allow the Navy to have success during more types of missions while keeping divers and sailors safe,” Michael Rufo, director of Boston Engineering’s Advanced System Group which developed the shark drone, said in a Navy press release.

The shark drone is 5 feet long, weighs around 100 pounds and can work in water depths ranging from 10 inches to 300 feet, according to the Navy. It is currently being tested off the coast of Virginia Beach, Va., by sailors controlling it via joysticks, according to Yahoo News.
