Syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer said Monday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that lone wolf style attacks, like the one in Sydney, will not end until the terror groups that encourage them are defeated.

After a self-declared Muslim cleric held more than a dozen individuals hostage at a cafe in Sydney, police stormed the shop Monday, bringing an end to the 16-hour ordeal. Three individuals, including the alleged gunman, died in the drama that played out live as a flash bangs and bullets were heard and hostages were seen running to safety.

Krauthammer said that ISIS was not giving instructions to individuals such as Man Haron Monis, the Sydney terrorist, but was encouraging them by suggesting what to do."The stronghorse prestige of a rising Islamic movement is attracting all this, giving scripts that people accept, they worship,” Krauthammer added.

Lone wolf attacks similar to this one, he said, will continue until ISIS is defeated. "It will lose a lot of that allure," Krauthammer added.
