A staff member in New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's administration who was subpoenaed over the George Washington Bridge scandal has resigned, Fox News has confirmed.
Christina Genovese Renna, who served as the state director of Departmental Relations and reported to former Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly resigned from her position in the Christie Administration Friday.
Kelly stepped down last month after her role in the bridge lane closures, which flooded Fort Lee with traffic for four days in an act of apparent retribution over the mayor's refusal to endorse Christie for reelection last year, became clear.
Renna is one of 18 individuals subpoenaed by the state legislature's special committee investigating the bridge scandal.
The scandal has widened in recent days, as the lawyer for the former Port Authority of New York and New Jersey official who ordered the lane shutdowns said Christie knew about the closures as they happened in September.
The lawyer for David Wildstein also "contests the accuracy" of other statements from the governor but did not say which statements.
Christie has denied the accusations.
