Charles Krauthammer told viewers Thursday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that continuing problems with the rollout of the president’s signature health care legislation should not be downplayed, noting “this isn’t a wrinkle, this is a train wreck.”

“This is thousands of people showing up in January who have no idea if they are covered with that doctor, no idea if they are insured,” he said. “The insurance companies aren't going to know if these guys are insured.”

And he said it’s not just patients who have cause to be concerned.

“Imagine what a doctor does - somebody walks off the street and says ‘I'm insured’ and waves a card or says he has something. They have no record at all,” Krauthammer commented, predicting that such a situation could cause “chaos.”

Krauthammer’s comments came just hours after the Obama administration announced another series of tweaks to the president’s health care law, set to take effect on January 1st, amid concerns about lapses in coverage for millions of Americans.
