One of Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry's top donors in South Carolina is now supporting Mitt Romney.

Barry Wynn says he is switching sides because of Perry's recent and scathing attacks on Romney and his reign as CEO of Bain Capital. That includes dubbing the former Massachusetts governor a "vulture capitalist."

"It's like fingernails on the chalkboard," Wynn said. " It just kind of irritated you to hear those kind of attacks."

Perry campaign spokesman Mark Miner says the defection will not be a distraction.

"Governor Perry is focused on sharing the story of his military record and his record of creating jobs with the people of South Carolina. The Issues that matter, those are the issues that he is addressing."
