"Joe the Plumber" Leaning Towards Cain

It's a new plug for Herman Cain, courtesy of "Joe the Plumber."

When asked by Megyn Kelly on "America Live" who he's backing for president Thursday, Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber" responded, "I'm definitely leaning towards Herman [Cain], I like him, he makes a lot of sense and he's an honest man."

Wurzelbacher is in the middle of a campaign of his own. He's running for Congress to represent the 9th District of Ohio. He says he's running as a "Reluctant Republican" because the party doesn't completely reflect who he is.

"I'm an American first, that's what it comes down to. I'm not here for the party, I'm here to represent the people," he said.

"Joe the Plumber" was thrust into the national spotlight during the 2008 presidential election when he confronted then-Senator Barack Obama on his proposed economic policies. After becoming a household name, he became somewhat of an icon for anti-establishment conservatives, speaking at Tea Party rallies and conservative gatherings all over the country.

Recent financial records show the Cain campaign paid Wurzelbacher 10 thousand dollars; the campaign tells Fox News the money was for speaking fees.
