Ron Paul Launches 'Money Bomb' on Day of First Debate

On the day of the first Republican primary debate, Ron Paul launched his first mass online fundraising effort, known as a "money bomb."

The "money bomb" was a staple of the Paul campaign during the 2008 primary season, involving a grassroots effort to put Paul on the map for the GOP nomination. In 2008, Paul set a record by raising nearly $6 million in one day, on the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.

Thus far Thursday, Paul has raised over $500,000.

The debate can be seen on Fox News and FoxNews.com starting at 9 p.m. ET.
