French President Nicolas Sarkozy will meet with President Obama in Washington next week, ahead of the G 20 annual meeting in Paris at the end of this month. A senior White House administration official confirms Sarkozy's trip to the White House January 10th.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the agenda of the upcoming assembly. But this will be the first time the pair will see each other since the damaging WikiLeaks reports last year revealed a classified U.S. Embassy cable calling Sarkoszy a "naked emperor".

France currently holds the rotating chair of the G8 and G20 forums and Sarkozy is expected to visit Martinique and Guadeloupe prior to his trip to the White House. Sarkozy and Obama met in Lisbon at the NATO summit in November. Sarkoszy met with President Obama last March when the two held a joint press conference in the Rose Garden of the White House.
