FOX has learned that supporters of Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) are likely to try to get some sort of a vote on the floor today on a reprimand for the Harlem Democrat.

This would be a diminished punishment for Rangel, one degree lower than censure.

It is unclear if this could come in the form of an amendment. Someone offering such an amendment would have to be yielded the floor by Ethics Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) for the right to offer an amendment.

It could also be offered through the motion to recommit at the end of debate. That's the final parliamentary option right before they go to a vote.

It is unclear what sort of parliamentary avenues Rangel supporters could take to secure this vote.
