White House Day Ahead...Friday

The President begins his day like he does every day by receiving the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The President will then receive a briefing on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed.

Later, the President will meet with small business owners in the Oval Office. At 11:00a.m. ET Mr. Obama will then make a statement to the press in the Rose Garden on his small business jobs initiatives. The President has put forth a series of proposals to help small businesses grow and hire new workers, and he'll continue to urge Congress to act on these proposals that are essential to strengthening our economy and putting Americans back to work.  Row 2, Seat 4 will stream these remarks live.  [foxlivestream]

Later in the morning, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. The President will then meet with Secretary of State Clinton in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed.  Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will not hold a briefing Friday.

Vice President Biden and his wife, Jill, are in Johannesburg, South Africa representing the United States at the opening ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg. Afterwards, the Bidens will attend the first game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup – South Africa v. Mexico.
