White House Day Ahead

The President begins his Wednesday morning by receiving the Presidential Daily Briefing and meeting with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed.  Later, the President will meet separately with Senator Kyl and Senator Hatch, both members of the Judiciary Committee, in the Oval Office. These meetings are also closed.

At 1:30pm, the President will deliver remarks and sign the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act, which will improve health care services for veterans and expand caregiver benefits and training. He will be joined by the First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden and Secretary of Veterans Affairs Shinseki in the State Dining Room.  Row 2, Seat 4 will carry these remarks live.  [foxlivestream]

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at a Cinco de Mayo reception in the Rose Garden. The First Lady will also attend.  The President's remarks will be carried live on Row 2, Seat 4.  [foxlivestream]

The Vice President will travel to depart Wednesday for a trip to Europe.  During the visit, the Vice President will deliver a major address to the European Parliament. He will meet with leaders and representatives of the European Union institutions to discuss how the United States and the EU can improve cooperation on counter-terrorism and other areas of mutual concern.
