T-Shirt Celebrating Health Care Legislation Features Biden F-Bomb

From f-bomb to money bomb.

It's not every day that one of Vice President Biden's gaffes becomes an Internet sensation that the president enjoys as much as the public, but President Obama's campaign arm is now raising money off the vice president's gem last month.

Organizing for America has created a "limited edition" T-shirt for supporters inspired by Biden's recent expletive in which he called passage of the health care legislation a "big f---ing deal" before a televised speech in the White House two weeks ago.

The light gray shirt has the words, "Health Reform is a BFD," emblazoned in bold letters on the front.

"There are things that are a big deal -- birthdays, anniversaries, the NCAA Championship game. And then there are things that are a BFD, like delivering health insurance to 32 million Americans," the posting on the Organizing for America Web site says. "Please donate today to help. If you give $25 or more now, we'll send you a limited edition 'Health Reform is a BFD' T-shirt in a super-soft, fine jersey (men's) or baby rib (women's) cotton fabric."

The Obama campaign team is also including the shirt as a nominee to be the official, commemorative T-shirt for health care reform

The other four shirts in contention are a bit less edgy. One says, "Yes We Can." Another says, "This Is What Change Looks Like."

The original comment, which Biden whispered to Obama as he congratulated him on passage of the massive legislation, was picked up on open microphone and broadcast live prior to the president's speech.

The White House, however, appeared unconcerned by the gaffe. In a post on his Twitter account following the incident, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs wrote, "And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right ..."
