Congressional Calendar February 25, 2010

All eyes will be on Blair House, President Barack Obama’s guest house across the street from the White House. Thursday he will host a bipartisan, bicameral meeting of Congressional leaders to discuss health care. The Republican caucus plans to fact check the entire affair online, and will have plenty of reaction before, during, and after the event.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will be back to discuss “The Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to the Congress” with the Senate Banking Committee.

Budget talk continues on the Hill. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton returns for another day of testimony on President Obama’s 2011 budget request, this time she’ll be before the House Foreign Affairs and Appropriations committees. Secretary of the Army John McHugh and Army Chief of Staff Gen George Casey will discuss the Defense Authorization within the FY 2011 budget with the House Armed Services Committee.

The House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee holds a closed-door briefing on the Foot Hood shooting. We will be staking out the meeting room and report on any developments.

As always, more events will develop as the day progresses so stay tuned to Fox News for the latest.
