In an interview with Senior White House Correspondent Major Garrett, President Obama's Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett adamantly denied the President was currently focused on the 2012 election. “Not at all,” Valerie Jarrett said when asked what stage the re-election campaign was in.  She pointed to the economic and health care reform challenges the Obama Administration is facing saying, “we aren't even beginning to think about the election.”  Jarrett seemed to chuckle at the notion explaining the President had other things on his mind.  “He wakes up every morning focused on the American people, not an election that’s two years off.   My goodness.”
