On the same day that the White House is releasing The Economic Report of the President, White House Correspondent Wendell Goler spoke one-on-one with a key player in its formulation: Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer.

The White House is forecasting a turnaround in joblessness; predicting an average of 95,000 jobs a month will be created this year. Dr. Romer tells Wendell that is a significant change from the deficits of recent months and years, but in a nation where unemployment remains at 9.7%, she says the administration recognizes the challenges ahead.

The President will sign the report this afternoon and it will also be delivered to Congress, along with a letter in which Mr. Obama reprises his blame of the Bush administration for the nation's woeful economic conditions when he entered office.

WATCH THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW BELOW, including Romer's reaction to Republican House Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia's comments about that very blame and even some comments about the blizzard in DC.
