President Obama to attend Senator Kennedy's Funeral

President Obama will attend and speak at Senator Ted Kennedy's funeral mass on Saturday in Boston. Mr. Obama will likely return to Martha's Vineyard afterwards, where he has been vacationing with his family.

Senator Kennedy, who died late Tuesday evening, will lie in repose Thursday and Friday at the John F Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston.

Saturday's funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica. The senator attended mass each day there, as his daughter Kara was battling lung cancer at a nearby Boston hospital.

Following the funeral, Senator Kennedy's remains will be brought to Arlington National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his brothers, President John F Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy.

President Obama will not attend the burial services at Arlington National Cemetery.
