"That will be out later this afternoon," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said, referring to the anticipated release of the $100 million in administration cuts.
During a cabinet meeting back on April 20, President Obama said, "I'm asking for all of them to identify at least $100 million in additional cuts to their administrative budgets, separate and apart from the work that [Office of Management and Budget Director] Peter Orszag and the rest of our team are doing, to go line by line with the budget and identify programmatic cuts that need to be made."
Originally the administration asked the department secretaries to have the proposed cuts submitted in 90 days. That deadline passed July 19th. Gibbs assured reporters in today's briefing, the proposed cuts will come out later today
