WASHINGTON -- First lady Laura Bush says she and President George W. Bush will have a house in Dallas after leaving the White House.
Mrs. Bush's press secretary, Sally McDonough, says the president and first lady are buying a home in Dallas, but don't have occupancy of the property yet. Asked about buying Christmas gifts, Mrs. Bush said they were going to spend their Christmas money on Texas real estate.
Mrs. Bush talked about their upcoming home as she was giving members of the media a sneak peak of holiday decorations at the White House. She took reporters on a tour of various rooms all decked out for the holidays and showed them the official White House Christmas tree -- an 18 and a half-foot Fraser fir from North Carolina.
