• Cider, a 3-year-old Belgian Draft cross horse, is one of the many horses that have been surrendered to the Massachusetts SPCA this year. Horses are surrendered at a rate of one a week because they are expensive to keep.
• Walker, a 7-year-old Bay Mustang gelding is one of many horses being kept at Nevins Farm by the Massachusetts SPCA. Five horses were surrendered in one week in November.
