  • March 26: Smoke billows from a collapsed building in Aalesund, some 310 miles northwest of Oslo. Five people were missing and feared dead after a rock slide wrecked a six-story apartment building in the coastal city of Aalesund, rescuers said. Fifteen people were taken to a hospital, two of them with moderate injuries, Aalesund police operations leader Magne Tjoennoey said. Rescuers said five other people who lived in the building were unaccounted for and possibly buried by the debris inside.
