Some of the hottest temperatures of the year were forecast in Tennessee this week as a heat wave pushed temperatures toward 100 degrees and felt even hotter. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook across the state Monday with predicted highs in the mid to high 90s on Monday, a heat index of over 100 degrees and worsening conditions through the week.
