• A remarkable-looking toad, likely a new species in the genus Atelopus, in eastern Suriname.
• A dwarf catfish with an especially large mouth, a new species likely found only in the eastern Surinamese plateaus.
• A new species of the frog genus Eleutherodactylus in eastern Suriname.
• An Amazonian snail-eater, found all across tropical South America.
• Daceton armigerum, a species of ant commonly found throughout South America.
• Odontomachus, a genus of ants that is called the trap-jaw ants due to their unique jaw structure which can react in a split second, snapping up their prey.
• Eleutherodactylus chiastonotus, a frog species whose distribution is very specific and it can only be found within the Guyana Shield.
• Epipedobates trivittatus, which has orange stripes instead of green/green-yellow and can be found throughout forests and savannah forests.
• Harttiella crassicauda, a dwarf suckermouth catfish, is only found in the high elevation creeks of the Nassau Plateau and no where else on earth.
• Canthon triangularis is just 1 of over 40 species of dung beetle documented. Dung beetles are an extremely valuable insect to ecosystem health, their benefits including aeration of the soil and recycling of nutrients.
