Tuesday morning Senator Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner ordered flags at the U.S. capitol lowered to half-staff to honor the five victims of last week's shooting rampage in Chattanooga...as the nation continues to mourn the navy sailor and four marines shot dead.

Several hours later the order to lower the White House flag finally came from President Obama. So why does it seem we're always waiting for the White House to react to certain situations and others we get an immediate response?

It's interesting to note it only took the White House one day to order flags half staff for the Boston Bombing, and the Benghazi attack -- the same day for the Newtown shootings.

And the day of the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage the White House lit up in the colors of the rainbow that night. Not reacting right away to the Chattanooga murders leads people to believe this White House doesn't take the real threat of domestic terrorism seriously. And instead of honoring our military men instinctively -- the lowering of the flag appears to only be reactionary.
