Christian family groups are outraged that the State Department is removing the words "mother" and "father" from U.S. passport applications and replacing them with gender neutral terms, but gay rights groups welcome the change, saying the old applications didn't accurately describe same-sex parents. Should the use of "mother" and "father" on U.S. passports be changed to reflect gender neutrality and what the State Department calls "different types of families?"
