South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford (R) admitted that he has been having an affair with a woman from Argentina with whom he met aprx. 8 years ago. Recently, Sanford disappeared for a total of 5 days and nobody, not even his wife, knew of his whereabouts. His staff later came out and said that the governor was hiking along the Appalachian trail, but later it was discovered thatSanford was in Argentina---

After weeks of speculation President Obama announced his nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court this morning. Sonia Sotomayor had been on the short list of possible nominees to replace retiring Justice David Souter, along with Diane Wood from Chicago and two members of the administration, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Solicitor General Elena Kagan.
