Presidents Day! Did you know...

Did you know?

Presidents Day is celebrated every 3rd Monday in February!

It was established in 1885 to honor George Washington and is still officially called "Washington's Birthday" by the federal government!

George Washington's actual birthday is February 22nd-- Presidents Day was moved in 1971 as part of the "Uniform Monday Holiday Act" to create more 3 day weekends for workers!

Abraham Lincoln and George Washington share the same birth month-- 10 days apart (oh and 77 years)

Presidents Day is now a holiday to honor all U.S. presidents-- past and present!

Since the 1980's retailers have been using Presidents Day as an excuse for sales!
