Jumping for a Purpose

Sgt. Joe Grabianowski's life was shattered on May 29th, 2012 when a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan left him with severe injuries.   After a series of grueling surgeries, Joe has become one of the highest-level amputees at Walter Reed having lost both legs. He is now wheelchair bound because he cannot be fitted with prosthetics.

Joe's story is one of survival and courage.  He is also one of a growing number of wounded warriors who are turning to an unlikely sport to rebuild their confidence: sky diving.   On this Memorial Day weekend, Joe and other wounded veterans will join the group Operation Enduring Warrior in Suffolk Virginia for a weekend of sky diving called "Jumping for a Purpose."
