Dana Perino joined FOX News Channel (FNC) in April 2009 as a contributor. Currently, she serves as a rotating host in the roundtable ensemble of FNC's "The Five," a weekday program at 5 p.m. ET.

In addition to her work at FNC, Perino is the president and founder of consulting firm, Dana Perino and Company. She is also the editorial director of Crown Publishing Groups imprint Crown Forum.

Perino was appointed in November 2009 to the Broadcasting Board of Governors by President Obama and confirmed in June 2010. She was also a founder of various women's organizations such as Congo Story and Minute Mentoring.

Previously, Perino served as the White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush. She also worked for the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the Department of Justice.

Perino began her career as a journalist for the local CBS affiliate covering the State Assembly of Illinois. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Colorado State University-Pueblo and went on to receive a Masters in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
