Dana Perino currently serves as co-host of FOX News Channel’s (FNC) The Five (weekdays 5-6PM/ET). She joined the network in 2009 as a contributor.
On The Five, Perino is one of five co-hosts who partake in lively and thoughtful discussions on everything from politics to culture to sports. Former White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush, she is the president of Dana Perino and Company, a frequent public speaker on political trends, founder of Minute Mentoring and active in global maternal health and child development through the One Campaign and Mercy Ships. She also helps America’s veterans through Companions for Heroes, which matches rescue animals with vets suffering from PTSD.
Perino served for three years on the U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors, an appointment by President Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate. She spent over seven years in the Bush Administration working at the Justice Department and the Council on Environmental Policy. Previously, Perino worked on Capitol Hill, in private practice public relations and as a reporter in Illinois and Colorado.
Perino graduated with a B.A. in mass communication from Colorado State University-Pueblo and went on to receive a Masters in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
