Dan Springer joined Fox News Channel (FNC) as a Seattle-based correspondent in August 2001 and extensively covered the war in Afghanistan.



Prior to joining FNC, Springer served as a general assignment reporter and fill in anchor at KTVU-TV (FOX), San Francisco. Before that, he worked for KTTV-TV (FOX), Los Angeles as a general assignment reporter.



Springer began his career in journalism at WBKB-TV (CBS), Alpena, Michigan, where he was the sports director and host, producer and editor of a weekly sports special.



Springer has received Newscast Reporter Emmy Awards for his work on "Mornings on 2" on KTVU-TV (FOX) and the "Good Day LA" show on KTTV-TV (FOX). He was also awarded the Greater Los Angeles Press Club Award of Excellence in 1997.



Springer graduated in 1987 from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communications.
